{"id":868001,"date":"2026-08-25T15:34:15","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T15:34:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/868001\/"},"modified":"2026-08-25T15:34:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T15:34:15","slug":"ndsu-mens-golf-adds-nate-adams-to-coaching-staff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/868001\/","title":{"rendered":"NDSU Men\u2019s Golf Adds Nate Adams to Coaching Staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FARGO, N.D. &#8211; North Dakota State men&#8217;s golf head coach Ekren Miller has announced the hiring of former Bison <a href=\"https:\/\/gobison.com\/sports\/mens-golf\/roster\/coaches\/nate-adams\/2505\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"2505\" target=\"_blank\">Nate Adams<\/a> as an assistant coach.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nAdams returns to NDSU, where he was a standout golfer from 2019-2024. During his time in Fargo, Adams was named to the All-Summit League first team in both his junior and senior seasons. In his victory at the GCU Invitational in 2023, he shot a career-low round of -7, tied for one stroke back of the program record.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nAdams recorded three career victories and carded the second lowest 54-hole tournament score in program history with a mark of -13. He holds the program record for most career rounds in the 60s with 25 and ranks third all-time in career top-10 finishes with 17. Over his final two seasons in Fargo, Adams posted the second-lowest and third-lowest individual scoring seasons in program history, with averages of 71.57 and 71.89, respectively.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Maple Grove, Minnesota native has also spent time playing on the Dakotas Tour. In 12 total events, Adams posted six top-10 finishes, including three top-fives.
