Netflix<\/a> unveiled during its panel at Anime NYC<\/a> on Thursday an English-subtitled trailer for Record of Ragnarok III<\/a>, the third season<\/a> for the anime based on Shinya Umemura<\/a>, Azychika<\/a>, and Takumi Fukui<\/a>‘s Record of Ragnarok<\/a> (Sh\u016bmatsu no Walk\u00fcre<\/a>) manga. The video reveals more cast members, and previews the anime’s ending theme song<\/a> titled “Last breath, Last record” by Saori Hayami<\/a>. Hayami wrote the lyrics herself, which reflects the anime’s worldview.<\/p>\n

The new anime will feature a different staff. K\u014dichi Hatsumi<\/a> (Tokyo Revengers<\/a>, Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown<\/a>) is directing the anime at Yumeta Company<\/a> \u00d7 Maru Animation<\/a> (Yumeta Company and Graphinica<\/a> animated the previous season). Yasuyuki Mut\u014d<\/a> (Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway<\/a>, Tokyo Revengers) is the main writer, and Y\u014dko Tanabe<\/a> (Handyman Sait\u014d in Another World<\/a>) and Hisashi Kawashima<\/a> (Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream<\/a>) are the new character designers. Yasuharu Takanashi<\/a> is returning to compose the music.<\/p>\n

The saga continues with 13 one-on-one battles for the survival of humanity, pitting gods against humans
\nfrom across the world. Witness the fateful seventh battle: the final fight to break the 3-3 tie between the
\ngods and humans. Blood flows and fists fly in these intense battles of strong convictions!<\/p>\n

The first season of the television anime debuted on Netflix in June 2021. Record of Ragnarok II<\/a> \u2014 the second season<\/a> of the anime<\/a> \u2014 debuted its first part on Netflix in January 2023. The anime’s second part (episodes 11-15) debuted<\/a> on Netflix in July 2023.<\/p>\n

Viz Media<\/a> is releasing<\/a> the series digitally and in print in English. Mangamo<\/a> first announced<\/a> its license of Record of Ragnarok in March 2022.<\/p>\n

The manga launched<\/a> in Comic Zenon<\/a> magazine in November 2017. Umemura is writing the story, while Azychika is drawing the art. Fukui is storyboarding the work.<\/p>\n

The manga has several spinoffs including Sh\u016bmatsu no Walk\u00fcre Kitan: Jack the Ripper no Jikenbo<\/a> (Record of Ragnarok Mystery – The Case Files of Jack the Ripper), Ryo Fu H\u014d Sen Hish\u014dden<\/a> (The Legend of Lu Bu Fengxiang The Flying General), and the Sh\u016bmatsu no Walk\u00fcre Kinden: Kamigami no Apocalypse<\/a> (Record of Ragnarok Forbidden Tale: Apocalypse of the Gods) manga<\/a> that launched in June 2024.<\/p>\n

A battle role-playing smartphone game<\/a> titled Record of Ragnarok: The Day of Judgment launched on March 31.<\/p>\n
