The Sydney Roosters<\/a> will be without Victor Radley<\/a> for the remainder of the regular season due to concussion.<\/p>\n

The forward suffered his eighth concussion in the last five years over the weekend, and will now face the mandatory 11-day concussion stand down period, which he is no stranger to.<\/p>\n

The Roosters are a club who have had plenty of concussion issues over the journey, and have also made no secret of the fact they will put the long-term health of their playing group ahead of on-field results.<\/p>\n

That has been evident with the likes of James Tedesco<\/a> sitting out for longer than they otherwise might have, and other players, most notably Boyd Cordner<\/a>, retiring after concussion-related issues.<\/p>\n

While Radley, who has already been confirmed as not named for this weekend’s clash with the Dolphins<\/a>, could yet return for the start of the finals after also missing Round 27 against the South Sydney Rabbitohs<\/a>, there is no guarantee.<\/p>\n

The number of concussions he has suffered in a short period of time will make Roosters medical staff wary, and they could lean towards giving him as many weeks off as possible.<\/p>\n

While there is little doubt around the importance of Radley’s role at the tri-colours, Trent Robinson’s outfit are also likely to have a second chance in the finals, and also have plenty of forwards to cover.<\/p>\n

This week, Lindsay Collins<\/a> will join the starting side, with Nat Butcher<\/a>, who has been in excellent form and getting through a tremendous amount of work in the middle third, shuffling across to lock.<\/p>\n

Even calling Queensland Origin representative Collins into the side, the Roosters still have the likes of Spencer Leniu<\/a> and Egan Butcher<\/a> on the interchange bench.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, the Roosters are once again hopeful that James Tedesco<\/a> will overcome an ankle injury, although he was named in the number one jumper for last week’s shock loss to the Wests Tigers<\/a>, only to be a late absence.<\/p>\n
