The Brit from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlprocycling.com\/visma-lease-a-bike\" title=\"Visma | Lease a Bike\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Visma | Lease a Bike<\/a>, still only 20 years old, thanked his experienced lead-out riders Christophe Laporte and Wout van Aert <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlprocycling.com\/cycling\/sprint-king-brennan-again-head-and-shoulders-above-the-rest-after-perfect-lead-out-by-van-aert-and-visma\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">after his formidable repeat performance<\/a> in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>Visma | Lease a Bike played the Brennan card from the start of the day and even had Laporte and Van Aert help control the race in the final stretch. \u201cIt\u2019s fantastic. You could tell from the way the day went that everyone was giving it their all. I\u2019m just incredibly grateful that I was able to finish it off again. And I think the guys are really happy, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Everyone agreed afterward: it was a perfect lead-out by Visma | Lease a Bike. \u201cTo be honest, it went pretty smoothly. The two guys stayed at the front until the last few kilometers. Then Wout and Christophe took over\u2014probably a couple of the best, or actually the very best riders in the world for this kind of work.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They supported me all the way to the finish,&#8221; Brennan recalled, with the two world-class skaters still ahead of him in the final 500 meters. \u201cIn the last turn, I lost the wheel a little; the road marking was a bit slippery. But luckily, I stayed upright. Christophe felt it a little too, but he handled it really well. I\u2019m glad we were able to finish with our hands in the air.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more below the video!<\/p>\n<p>Brennan: &#8216;I wouldn&#8217;t call myself a pure sprinter&#8217;After five stages, Brennan <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/cyclingontnt\/status\/2092636577776173435?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E2092636577776173435%7Ctwgr%5E56e5f9ee0fb49f4e8f88bef6e0f7e09f0615715e%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fdashboard.idlprocycling.com%2Fadmin%2Farticle%2F86695%2Fedit%3Fdraft%3D0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">has already won two<\/a>. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t call myself a pure sprinter, but I can handle a hill. That works really well on this kind of terrain, especially with the support I get here. Guys like Stevie and Bruno (Kruijswijk and Armirail, ed.) are just so strong.
