Feeney dominated the 2025 championship only to miss out on a maiden title as a clash with Ryan Wood<\/a> and a crippling engine problem conspired against him.<\/p>\n With 32 career race wins, he is far and away the winningest driver in ATCC\/Supercars Championship history without either of the category\u2019s biggest prizes (the title or the Bathurst 1000) under his belt.<\/p>\n The way things are tracking this year, that could be due to change.<\/p>\n Matt Payne<\/a> has been the most consistent frontrunner all year. Brodie Kostecki<\/a> has often been an unstoppable force.<\/p>\n Yet, it\u2019s Feeney who won the Repco Sprint Cup against all odds, capitalising on a gut-wrenching engine failure for Matt Payne in the final pre-enduro race last Sunday at the Ipswich Super440.<\/p>\n It follows Feeney swooping to the Jason Richards<\/a> Memorial Trophy in similar circumstances earlier this year, when Ryan Wood had one hand on the trophy before being deprived by a late engine failure.<\/p>\n Hence the reference to Steven Bradbury\u2019s 2002 Winter Olympics heroics at Salt Lake City.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been one of those years. It has been so up-and-down and the position I was in 12 months ago to where I am today is very different,\u201d Feeney said via MotorRacing 360.<\/p>\n \u201cBut to walk away with back-to-back Sprint Cups is awesome.
