Kyle Sandilands opened the latest episode of his new show on a sombre note today, confessing he was \u201cshattered\u201d and had been crying this morning after reading that his former radio co-host Jackie \u201cO\u201d Henderson had accused him of causing her post-traumatic stress disorder.<\/p>\n

Documents filed<\/a> with the Federal Court for her case against KIIS FM station owner ARN, released by the court on Tuesday, contain reference to a medical report which claims Henderson suffered PTSD.<\/p>\n

In a sworn statement, Henderson says an \u201cunpredictable and erratic\u201d Sandilands would \u201cbelittle or humiliate\u201d her when they worked together.<\/p>\n

Speaking on-air this morning, Sandilands revealed the first thing he does of a morning is check news.com.au \u2013 where he was \u201cshattered\u201d to read an article published on Tuesday night<\/a> airing his former co-host\u2019s new claims against him. <\/p>\n

\u201cI instantly burst into tears \u2026 I fell apart this morning. Crying in the shower like a big sook,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was very upsetting, and honestly it was her truth, but it was so against the reality of what happened,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s soul destroying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Henderson said in the court filing that she \u201cfelt that the constant attacking of my character and putting me down at work by Mr Sandilands was slowly wearing me down \u2026 I felt exhausted and like I wanted to give up.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt like this treatment was happening in subtle ways but regularly. It felt like bullying.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair\u2019s decades-long radio partnership combusted on-air<\/a> in February this year, when Sandilands took his co-host to task for her newfound interest in astrology and her habit of bringing it up during their show. <\/p>\n

The on-air intervention was not received well, with the pair taken off the air and eventually, the dissolution of their show and 27-year working relationship.<\/p>\n

Sandilands blasted the new claims made by Jackie O in court as \u201cfake\u201d and said that he would \u201cnever get over\u201d what he saw as her betrayal. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt has rattled my trust in humans for the rest of my life,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

Newsreader Brooklyn Ross, who worked for Kyle and Jackie O for more than a decade before taking a role on Sandilands\u2019 new show, has remained friends with Jackie O. He appeared to choose his words carefully as he tried to offer some perspective on her motives. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think she just always felt that she couldn\u2019t talk to you \u2026\u201d he began, before Sandilands cut him off.
\u201cTHAT\u2019S F**KING BULLS**T, THAT\u2019S F**KING BULLS**T,\u201d the host bellowed. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not what she felt. That\u2019s what she told you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sandilands said that the collapse of his partnership with Jackie O had a profound effect on him: \u201cI\u2019ll never trust another human as long as I live,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n

That was too much for Ross, who broke down in tears as colleagues comforted him. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s terrible you two are in this position against each other. She doesn\u2019t hate you that bad, Kyle,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Jackie O had been reduced to tears during the public dressing down from her co-host back in February.<\/p>\n

ARN served Sandilands a notice that his behaviour constituted \u201cserious misconduct\u201d, while Henderson notified the company she could no longer work with him.<\/p>\n

After ARN terminated Sandilands\u2019 contract, he sued for breach of contract and received a $12m settlement before launching his own daily subscriber-only show. <\/p>\n

After ARN terminated Henderson\u2019s contract, she is now suing for alleged breach of workplace rights, seeking \u201cat least $82.25m\u201d.<\/p>\n
