Unveiled in 2025, the Bianchet UltraFino Tonneau<\/a> (to differentiate it from the circular-shaped Ultrafino Rotondo<\/a>) was an important release for the young independent watch brand<\/a>. It was its first ultra-thin model, its first self-winding watch and its first timepiece with an integrated bracelet. Since the initial launch in grade 5 titanium cases<\/a>, we\u2019ve seen several iterations of this model, housed in more exotic materials, such as sapphire<\/a> and carbon fibre<\/a> \u2013 the latter expanding this material to the bracelet. There was even a rather cool Maserati edition<\/a>, with a distinctive dial design. Now, it\u2019s time for the UltraFino Tonneau to embrace ceramic, a classic for the integrated sports watch genre, with blue and white edition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Technically speaking, the recipe found on the original UltraFino Tonneau has not changed, starting with the shape of the case and its appealing proportions. Measuring an easy-to-wear 40mm in width and 47.5mm in length, the most interesting part comes from the thickness, measured at only 8.9mm. After titanium, sapphire and carbon, it\u2019s now time for Bianchet to bring ceramic, in two audacious tones: full white with dark blue contrasting gaskets, or deep blue with black gaskets. Despite the new material, the watches retain the same level of finishing as metal versions, with vertically brushed surfaces highlighted by polished bevels. Water resistance is rated at 50m, and the watch features sapphire crystals on both sides.<\/p>\n

Inside the case, no major technical changes to report, but several aesthetic adaptations have been made. As with previous versions, there\u2019s no dial in the strict sense of the word, and the movement is fully exposed on both sides of the watch. A slightly more traditional approach is used for the Deep Blue edition, which features a black PVD treatment for all bridges and plates of its movement, while the white edition is more contrasted, as its movement is here treated in cobalt blue PVD. The same treatments are applied to the flying tourbillon regulators, fully exposed at 6 o\u2019clock.<\/p>\n

Visible through the entirely openworked dial and the back of the watch is the UT01 automatic calibre with flying tourbillon, wound by a gold rotor shaped by the Golden Ratio. Measuring 3.85mm thick and weighing only 8 grams, it is one of the lightest automatic tourbillons currently in production. Constructed entirely from titanium, the movement features an already mentioned suspended mainspring barrel and a one-minute tourbillon with a 2.66mm cage. It operates at 21,600 vibrations\/hour and provides a 60-hour power reserve. And, despite its light, airy nature, the movement has been engineered to withstand shocks of up to 5,000 G.<\/p>\n

The ceramic theme continues on the integrated bracelet, crafted from the same material as the case and finished with satin-brushed and polished surfaces. These are equipped with quick-release systems, and an additional rubber strap (black for the Deep Blue Ceramic and cobalt blue for the White Ceramic) is also included in the presentation box.<\/p>\n
