The reigning world champion has confirmed the project, which is being developed under the working title Lando and is scheduled to premiere in 2027.<\/p>\n
Production is being handled by Box to Box Films, the company behind Netflix\u2019s Formula 1: Drive to Survive, with filming already underway as Norris attempts to defend his drivers\u2019 crown.<\/p>\n
The series will extend beyond his activities with McLaren and place a significant emphasis on Norris away from the circuit, including time spent with friends and family as well as the pressures associated with being one of F1\u2019s biggest names.<\/p>\n
Norris said the project would allow supporters to see parts of his life which have previously remained largely private.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m really excited to be doing this with Prime Video,\u201d Norris said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been filming for a while already and I\u2019ve had a lot of fun with it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Norris has regularly provided his own behind-the-scenes content through his LandoLOG videos and has featured throughout Drive to Survive, but said the Prime Video production would go significantly further.<\/p>\n
\u201cI already share a lot of what I get up to, but this is going to give people more access than ever before to my life away from racing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been really involved in the whole thing, so hopefully people will enjoy seeing more of what goes on behind the scenes. I\u2019m looking forward to people seeing it next year!\u201d<\/p>\n
The timing will give the production plenty to follow on track, with Norris fighting to retain the championship he won for the first time last season.<\/p>\n
The McLaren driver has won the past two grands prix to cut into Kimi Antonelli\u2019s advantage at the top of the standings, although he remains 83 points behind the Mercedes driver.<\/p>\n
His recent resurgence has kept his title defence alive as F1 heads into the latter stages of the season.<\/p>\n
Norris also told fans the series would delve further into his upbringing and the parts of his life rarely visible during a grand prix weekend.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s going to be taking you well into depth about my life, about my whole life away from the racetrack, so the stuff that you never really see,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is my chance to get to share more of that with you because you\u2019re always there supporting me every single weekend.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo you pretty much are the reason I do all of this and I\u2019m just very excited to share this all with you.\u201d<\/p>\n
The production arrives as F1\u2019s expansion into documentaries, streaming and film continues to accelerate.<\/p>\n
Netflix confirmed this week that Drive to Survive will return for a ninth season, with Box to Box once again following the championship throughout 2026.<\/p>\n
The series, which first appeared in 2019, has become one of F1\u2019s most prominent crossover productions and has been credited with helping expose the championship to a younger and broader audience.<\/p>\n
On the back of Drive to Survive\u2019s success, several other F1 documentaries have since been announced as producers increasingly look to the sport for new projects.<\/p>\n
A separate production fronted by Keanu Reeves has followed Cadillac\u2019s creation and arrival as F1\u2019s 11th team in 2026, while Adrian Newey is also the subject of a documentary centred on his move to Aston Martin<\/a> and efforts to transform the team into a championship contender.<\/p>\n F1 has also enjoyed significant success outside the documentary format following the release of F1: The Movie in 2025.<\/p>\n
