ABC has dropped an episode of Anh\u2019s Brush with Fame from iview after the subject lost a defamation case with Nine.<\/p>\n
Awkwardly it replayed the episode yesterday on air.<\/p>\n
Earlier this month Nine won the high profile defamation case brought against it by Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Munjed Al Muderis.<\/p>\n
Al Muderis had sued 60 Minutes following a story by Tom Steinfort, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age over a series of reports in September 2022 he claims ruined his reputation and set back the field of prosthetic limbs by 20 years.<\/p>\n
But he was previously the subject of a portrait in Anh\u2019s Brush with Fame in its third season.<\/p>\n
Despite the findings of the defamation case, in which the court said \u201cpositive media his practice had enjoyed needed correcting,\u201d ABC replayed the episode yesterday.<\/p>\n
