Along with cutting ties with Good Good, the brand confirmed a US$1m ($1.67m) commitment to supporting organisations working to prevent violence against women and said they had taken \u201cappropriate corrective actions\u201d and strengthened its approval procedures moving forward. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe actions do not undo the harm caused or excuse our role in it. We sincerely apologise to everyone who was hurt, disappointed or offended by this incident,\u201d the company statement said. <\/p>\n

We are further strengthening our commitment to these initiatives, and this will be an ongoing focus in our company. Good Good released an apology earlier in the week which stated the ad \u201cdepicted actions that are not aligned with our values\u201d and promised the company \u201chas always stood for making the game of golf more inclusive for all, and we will continue to ensure that is our mission moving forward\u201d. <\/p>\n
The media company will also no longer serve as the title sponsor for an upcoming PGA Tour tournament in Austin, Texas. That tournament, scheduled from November 12-15, will still go ahead with a new title sponsor to be confirmed at a later date. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe PGA Tour has been informed of Good Good\u2019s decision to step away as sponsor of the event in Austin, Texas,\u201d a statement said. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe agree with their decision to use this time to focus on their organisation and the work ahead. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe PGA Tour believes in golf\u2019s ability to bring people together and create a welcoming environment for all.\u201d <\/p>\n
