A return to the NBA could be on the radar for Australian Ben Simmons, as interest builds in the former number one overall Draft pick.<\/p>\n

The three-time All-Star, who was recently in Melbourne for the Boomers’ player-led camp<\/a>, this week took part in a workout in Florida, which was reportedly attended by Sacramento Kings general manager Scott Perry.<\/p>\n

The performance is said to have caught the eye of those in attendance.<\/p>\n

“Somebody who was at those workouts said that Ben Simmons ‘looked fantastic’,” Sacramento radio host Dave Carmichael said.<\/p>\n

Simmons has also been training alongside fellow former NBA All-Star Victor Oladipo at the Canes facility in Miami, with both players working towards a return ahead of the new season.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old has not featured in an NBA game since April 2025, sitting out last season entirely due to injury. <\/p>\n

In other Australian NBA news, it appears wing Josh Green could be on the move once again.<\/p>\n

Months after being traded from the Charlotte Hornets to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Green is reportedly in the mix to be moved to accommodate the latter’s recent acquisition of Jonathan Kuminga.<\/p>\n

According to the New York Times<\/a>, “The Wolves will have to make a roster move to free up the additional $3 million and stay under the second apron.<\/p>\n

“To make that happen, sources said the Wolves will likely look to trade veteran Josh Green, who is making $14.6 million, for a player making less money.<\/p>\n

“The Wolves could also waive and stretch his salary to create the room needed to sign Kuminga.”<\/p>\n

Green has played 388 games across his six seasons in the NBA, with Dallas and Charlotte.<\/p>\n
