Umar Nurmagomedov is getting sick of having to talk about Merab Dvalishvili and accusations of disrespect.<\/p>\n
Nurmagomedov is currently in Shanghai where he\u2019ll fight Song Yadong<\/a> on Saturday. A win would put him on a three fight win streak, not bad when you\u2019re competing at the top of the always tough UFC bantamweight division. It\u2019d be a nine fight winning streak in the UFC, though, if he didn\u2019t lose to Merab in January 2025.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t give a s–t about all of this, I don\u2019t care about that,\u201d Nurmagomedov said of the feud with Dvalishvili during an interview with MMA Fighting. \u201cI don\u2019t care about respect, disrespect, I don\u2019t think about him. I don\u2019t care.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s a good fighter but how he acts and moves, I don\u2019t care about that,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt\u2019s not my business. I\u2019m not his teacher or someone who can tell him he does wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIf he has a problem with me, if I do disrespect? Okay, you\u2019re a man. A fighter. When somebody on the stage, anywhere, fans flips him off, he goes into the crowd and talks with them. Come to me, nobody is gonna hold you [back]. You can find my number, we can find space. Text me. Just text me.\u201d<\/p>\n Umar finds all the talking to be a bit much.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not man\u2019s style when you cry and shout disrespect,\u201d Nurmagomedov concluded. \u201cHe has to change his nickname: no more \u2018Machine.\u2019 \u2018Disrespect\u2019 Dvalishvili. No more \u2018Machine\u2019 because he\u2019s always crying about it.\u201d<\/p>\n Nurmagomedov has his showdown in Shanghai<\/a> with Song and then Dvalishvili is in a rubber match with Petr Yan<\/a> for the bantamweight title in October.
