Menken previewed the material at the piano, showcasing music written specifically for the expanded stage version of the story.<\/p>\n<p>The original film, which re-imagined the classic Rapunzel tale, featured an Oscar-nominated score by Menken and lyrics by Slater, including numbers such as \u201cWhen Will My Life Begin?\u201d and \u201cI See the Light\u201d.
