The Japanese challenger will look to capitalize on his speed in close quarters and apply constant pressure to cut off the ring, attempting to smother his opponent\u2019s movement with sharp hooks to the body.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">M\u00e9ndez, meanwhile, enters the bout with the pedigree and experience that come with having previously ruled the division. The Puerto Rican southpaw, known for his polished stance and elusive footwork, is expected to focus on controlling the tempo from long and mid-range. \u201cBimbito\u201d will rely heavily on a precise, well-timed jab to disrupt Ishii\u2019s forward attacks while looking to capitalize on every defensive opening with quick and accurate counterpunches.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ishii returns to action following a one-year layoff.
