Three weeks ago, Gold Coast property manager Jacinta Rogers was a gym-going mum of four. Today, she is fighting for her life after being handed a terminal cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n
The 46-year-old\u2019s world collapsed in a matter of days after what started as minor bloating escalated into excruciating stomach pain.<\/p>\n
She was rushed to hospital by ambulance on Monday night. By Friday, she had been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of inoperable ovarian cancer.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt came as quite a shock to go from nothing to Stage 4. It is actually next-level how fast this has all moved,\u201d Ms Rogers, of Benowa, said.<\/p>\n

Even with intensive chemotherapy, doctors have given her just a 10 to 15 per cent chance of surviving five years, with an 85 per cent of the cancer returning within 3 years. To save her life, Ms Rogers is desperately researching alternative treatments overseas.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I stay in Australia, I am doomed,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s morbid, but I\u2019m doomed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Rogers received the harrowing news over the phone while with her two youngest children, Reine, 8, and Myah, 6, who still believe their mum is just going to hospital for \u201csome medicine that might make me sick.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms Rogers works as a property manager with One Agency Burleigh-Miami<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
She is grateful for the support of her collegues and friends<\/p>\n
Her supportive new partner, Matt, alongside her two eldest children, Brit, 26, and Blake, 23, have been forced to confront the tragic prospect of a future without her.<\/p>\n
Brit has launched a GoFundMe campaign which has so far raised $62,271 towards her mother\u2019s life-saving treatment.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe is the person who puts everyone else first, who walks into a room and never fails to light it up,\u201d Brit wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cReine and Myah still need their mum for so much of the life that is ahead of them\u2026We are not ready to imagine a world without her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms Rogers is well known in the local community<\/p>\n
But Ms Rogers is not fighting alone, with her women\u2019s AFL teammates and the tight-knit local real estate industry rallying behind her.<\/p>\n
Sarah Davari, her colleague at One Agency Burleigh-Miami, is hosting a touching fundraiser, Canap\u00e9s for a Cause, at Burleigh Heads\u2019 Mondrian this Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The event will include canap\u00e9s and a drink on arrival at the Lagoon Cabanas, along with raffles and special prizes.<\/p>\n
\u201cJacinta has always been someone who brings warmth, kindness and connection to those around her,\u201d Ms Davari said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a chance for us to come together and remind her she is surrounded by love and support.\u201d<\/p>\n
