Smooth as butter. Nasty. Sharp\u2026He\u2019s fresh cutted up since his last fight, so potentially those cuts could open up but I\u2019m just sharp right now. Very sharp.\u201d<\/p>\n
On if he thinks Benn will use the weight cut as an excuse<\/p>\n
\u201cOne million percent. He already set it up. You already heard him say \u2018this is my last fight at 147\u2019. Who wants to become a champion and then leave the division? Bro was making excuses. He\u2019s not going to become a champion but who would do that? It makes no sense unless you\u2019re setting up an excuses.\u201d<\/p>\n
On having his own experience with a tough weight cut when he fought Tank<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s not going through what I went through. I had to not gain 10 lbs. He don\u2019t have a rehydration clause. That\u2019s where it hurts you\u2026It\u2019s not being able to gain the weight back the right way is tough part. So I don\u2019t really have any sympathy for him. I had to do it, everybody has to do it, UFC fighters have to do it, everybody got to do it. He\u2019s just making excuses.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Terence Crawford and Fernando Vargas Jr picking against him<\/p>\n
\u201cYou notice what they all have in common, they all sound bitter and hateful. Nothing good comes out of that, ever\u2026I don\u2019t really care what they think, they can\u2019t fight for Conot Benn at all. They can\u2019t punch for him. I know Crawford\u2019s at Conor Benn\u2019s gym trying to give him every technique he could give him \u2014 that sh-t ain\u2019t going to help because I feel like I\u2019ll beat your ass so what are you going to teach him?<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the end of the day they\u2019re trying to all come together, trying to tear me down because they know I\u2019m here and I\u2019m about to take over. I could potentially be the face of boxing after this fight.<\/p>\n
