{"id":877104,"date":"2026-09-02T06:24:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-02T06:24:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/877104\/"},"modified":"2026-09-02T06:24:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-02T06:24:13","slug":"nestle-sells-vitamins-business-to-yellow-wood-for-1-4-billion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/877104\/","title":{"rendered":"Nestl\u00e9 sells vitamins business to Yellow Wood for $1.4 billion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nestl\u00e9 has sold its vitamins, minerals and supplements (VMS) business, Holistic Health, to private equity firm Yellow Wood for $1.4 billion (US$1 billion).<\/p>\n<p>The world\u2019s largest food and beverage company called the deal \u201canother important step\u201d in its transformation. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are <a href=\"https:\/\/insidefmcg.com.au\/2026\/07\/24\/nestle-spins-off-premium-water-business-with-private-equity-partner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">focusing our resources where we have the strongest competitive advantage<\/a>,\u201d Nestl\u00e9 CEO Philipp Navrati said. \u201cThe category has evolved, and the mainstream VMS business requires a different approach under dedicated ownership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nestl\u00e9\u2019s Holistic Health business includes the brands Nature\u2019s Bounty, Nuun and Gard.<\/p>\n<p>The Boston-based Yellow Wood said that Holistic Health\u2019s \u201cexcellent platform\u201d has the potential for sustained growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOperating Holistic Health as a standalone entity will provide the opportunity to leverage the power of each brand to accelerate growth, enhance innovation and strengthen their market positions with consumers and retail partners,\u201d added Dana Schmaltz, partner at Yellow Wood.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have developed an excellent relationship with the team at Nestl\u00e9 and look forward to ensuring a smooth transition over the coming months as we close the transaction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is the sixth major acquisition that Yellow Wood has completed from consumer goods giants.
