\n\tRobert Pattinson<\/a> turned 40 years old ahead of filming \u201cThe Batman: Part II,\u201d and he\u2019s definitely feeling his age on set. Production on the long-awaited superhero sequel kicked off in June in London with Pattinson back as the Dark Knight opposite new cast members Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan, whose roles remain a closely guarded secret.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m in London here till the end of the year doing a\u00a0\u2018Batman\u2019\u00a0sequel,\u201d Pattinson told\u00a0GQ<\/a>\u00a0in an a recent interview. \u201cIt\u2019s good. I\u2019m definitely feeling my age when fighting a lot. I\u2019m literally like, \u2018Goddamn, this is significantly harder than it used to be.\u2019 But it\u2019s really fun. And I think the movie\u2019s going to be pretty great. It\u2019s got a really, really fun cast, but it\u2019s a marathon.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tMatt Reeves is back in the director\u2019s chair for \u201cThe Batman: Part II\u201d and co-wrote the sequel\u2019s screenplay with Mattson Tomlin. The supporting cast also includes Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry and Sebastian Koch. Plot details remain under wraps.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Batman Part II\u201d was originally supposed to open in theaters on Oct. 2, 2026, before Warner Bros. delayed it to Oct. 1, 2027. News broke in July<\/a> that the sequel was moving once again, this time to a Feb. 18, 2028, release date. That\u2019s nearly nearly six years after the March 2022 opening of \u201cThe Batman.\u201d Per sources, moving the film to 2028 will give Reeves additional time in post-production.<\/p>\n

\n\tDC Studios co-chief James Gunn previously defended the release delays by explaining how it\u2019s \u201cfairly common\u201d for big-budget titles to have lengthy gaps before a sequel is released.<\/p>\n
