Strategic Portfolio System

MyVest has expanded fixed income capabilities in its Strategic Portfolio System, adding security-level order generation, compliance rules and analytics that give bonds the same operational scale and automated rebalancing the platform provides for equities, the company said.

The update allows wealth management firms to manage bonds with security-level execution rather than manual or generic fixed income orders, addressing what the company described as a persistent gap across the managed accounts industry.

The security-level order generation calculates accrued interest at the time of each proposed buy or sell and incorporates it directly into principal calculations to reflect the true cost of bond transactions, according to the company.

The platform enables configurable accrued interest exclusions, allowing firms to assess portfolio drift using clean prices rather than income accruals, and aligns face-value rounding with standard fixed income market conventions.

The expanded analytics layer gives investment managers and advisors direct visibility into every bond’s characteristics alongside equities and other asset classes in a single portfolio view, automatically calculating weighted averages for key metrics.

The capabilities build on MyVest’s previously announced partnership with bondIT, which provides fixed income model creation and security selection within SPS, completing the entire fixed income workflow on a single platform.

Envestnet is increasing its technology investment in Tamarac with what it calls a $35 million surge investment
