MUNDELEIN, Ill. \u2013 The Edgewood University golf team competed at the Firebird Fall Invite on Friday and Saturday. The Eagles finish 13th of 16 teams with a 723, which is the second-best 36-hole score in program history. – Isla Rechlicz<\/a> added a career-best round of 90 on Saturday as she went on to score a 181. Rechlicz finished in a tie for 61st place and carded three birdies on the weekend. <\/p>\n – Kendall Kafar<\/a> posted a 185 to finish in 65th place. The junior carded rounds of 94 and 91 on the weekend. In Saturday’s round, Kafar highlighted the day with an Eagle on the fourth par 4. <\/p>\n – Grace Schomin<\/a> finished in a tie for 68th place with a 36-hole score of 191. The sophomore improved by 13 strokes in the second round, carding an 89. <\/p>\n – Lia Gawryk<\/a> rounded out the Eagles scoring lineup with a 195. The freshman carded her career-best 95 in Saturday’s round. <\/p>\n – Elisia Wynos<\/a> competed as an individual for the Eagles, carding a 195 on the weekend. Wynos punched her career-best 93 on Saturday. <\/p>\n BEYOND THE BOX SCORE – The Eagles 723 (+147) team score is the second-best 36-hole score in program history and best 36-hole score under head coach Josh Hentrich<\/a>.<\/p>\n THE TOURNAMENT – Aurora’s Thanpimol Tharpanawongwech claimed medalist honors with a 147 (+3). She posted a five under par 67 in Saturday’s round to claim victory. \u00a0<\/p>\n UP NEXT
\n– Hruby led the Eagles with a 168 to finish in a tie for 31st in the tournament. The freshman fired off her career-best round as an Eagle, a 79 on Saturday. Her second round featured 12 pars as she moved up 14 spots on the leaderboard. <\/p>\n

\n– The Eagles Saturday round of 349 (+61) is tied for fifth best in program history. <\/p>\n
\n– Aurora University took home the team crown with a 615 (+39). The Spartans fired off rounds of 320 and 295 to take home the victory. \u00a0<\/p>\n
\n– Edgewood University will compete at the Benedictine Fall Invite on Wednesday, September 16. Action is set for 10:00 a.m. from St. Andrews Golf & C.C. in West Chicago, Ill. \u00a0<\/p>\n
