Image: Supplied <\/p>\n<p>The Blanchard Racing Team owner is set to miss the Enduro Cup opener due to business commitments in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>Toyota GR Cup regular Casabene already has experience in the cars through previous cameos in both the Trans Am and TA2 series, including an outing in the latter at The Bend earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s great to be coming back to the Trans Am Cup Series again this weekend at The Bend,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve done some laps here earlier in the year in a TA2, so I\u2019m familiar with the West circuit and the cars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m joining a new team this weekend with Maverick Performance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have had some really strong results the last few rounds so I am really looking forward to working with them, can\u2019t wait.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maverick team owner Gerard McLeod enthused over Casabene\u2019s potential.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPip is a natural racer\u2026 whether it\u2019s karts, GR Cup or Trans Am he\u2019s got the gift behind the wheel,\u201d said McLeod.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s only a matter of time before he\u2019s a mainstay in the industry and we are stoked to be apart of his journey to the top.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former Walkinshaw and current BRT Super2 engineer Brian Cottee will guide Casabene through the three-race weekend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Pip Casabene returns to the Trans Am Series at The Bend.
