Breakfast\u00a0radio<\/a>\u00a0host Emma Chow\u00a0has shared a heart-warming update after revealing her husband Enzo is in urgent need of a live donor transplant<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Chow, 41, confirmed her husband of 11 years is battling chronic kidney disease during an emotional on-air update in August<\/a>, on her own show\u00a02DayFM Breakfast with Nath & Emma<\/a>. The couple can now reveal that Emma is a donor match and is offering her own kidney to her husband. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe results are in \ud83e\udec0,\u201d the pair captioned a video<\/a> announcement shared to Instagram on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have some news. Just come out of the appointment, and we opened up our, I guess like our transplant app, which is like Tinder, and Emma\u2019s one went right,\u201d husband Enzo began. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re a match!\u201d screamed Emma in excitement.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I went right, we\u2019re a match,\u201d Enzo confirmed, referring to the dating app\u2019s \u2018swipe right\u2019 function on matches. \u201cHer kidney swiped right, we\u2019re a match.\u201d <\/p>\n

During her emotional on-air plea<\/a> in August, Emma, of \u2018Mike E & Emma\u2019 fame, revealed she hoped to be a donor for her husband. <\/p>\n

The couple were waiting for the rest results to see if Emma was a match, and were now ecstatic to share the news. <\/p>\n

\u201cDoctor said it was the most boring case ever because my kidneys are functioning very, very well,\u201d Emma went on. \u201cHopefully, we\u2019ll have a surgery date soon before the end of the year.\u201d <\/p>\n

Emma and Enzo are parents to two young boys. \u00a0Instagram\/@emmaechow<\/p>\n

Emma and Enzo thanked everyone for the outpour of well-wishes and \u201cwords of encouragement\u201d they\u2019ve received. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe said we would keep you updated … when he told us [the news] I was like pins and needles all here,\u201d said Emma as she put her hands across her chest. \u201cAll down my arms, all through my fingers.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe needed a bucket for her tears,\u201d Enzo laughed. \u201cBut everything\u2019s good, on the right track.\u201d <\/p>\n

The couple said they\u2019re \u201cso, so happy\u201d about the result and next step in Enzo\u2019s journey. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to be OK,\u201d Emma smiled. <\/p>\n

Emma first opened up about her husband\u2019s battle during a live broadcast of her show 2DayFM Breakfast with Nath & Emma<\/a>\u00a0in August. <\/p>\n

She spoke bravely of \u201ctrying to save\u201d her husband\u2019s life by being his kidney donor. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the first time that I might finally be able to physically help him after years of feeling like all I could do was watch him suffer,\u201d she said, holding back tears.<\/p>\n

The radio host opened up about the challenging journey with fans on air. \u00a0Instagram\/@2dayfmbreakfast<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I also have to prepare for the news that I\u2019m not a match, and I have to be OK with that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The host shares two young sons, Valentino and Raphael, with her husband and admitted \u201csome days feel a lot harder to push through\u201d. <\/p>\n

She spoke of the heartache that comes with \u201cprocessing\u201d the difficult parts of life while trying to continue with work and the everyday.<\/p>\n

She hoped listeners would know they are not alone in their own personal challenges, health related or not. <\/p>\n
