At its weekly Martes a Cafe Press Conference, this time held at the exquisite NH Collection Hotel in Mexico City, the WBC unveiled its magnificent Tollan Topiltzin Belt, which will be held aloft by the Victor, who will need considerable strength to achieve this feat, because this is the heaviest belt yet.<\/p>\n<p>Two fully costumed pre-Hispanic dancers consecrated the ceremony, adorned by shields, smoking incense containers and feather plumed headdresses, which reached up to and brushed the ceiling.<\/p>\n<p>Mauricio described the distinct contrast of styles which will sear in molten fashion, during this intense and highly emotive fight. On the one set of hands there is Conor\u2019s ample punch output, willpower and intensity. Then there\u2019s Ryan\u2019s speed, accuracy and silky skills set, topped off by that signature and jolting left hook.<\/p>\n<p>Mauricio stressed that welterweight is one the great and classic divisions made famous by: Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran, Pipino Cuevas, Oscar De La Hoya, Pernell Whitaker, Floyd Mayweather Jr and Sugar Shane Mosley. What a tradition and what a legacy to live up to!<\/p>\n<p>Mauricio also pointed said about this upcoming classic between Ryan and Conor: \u201cIt comes down to heart, guts and who wants it the most.
