Terence Crawford has teased a possible return to boxing, acknowledging fans want to see it \u2018so bad\u2019.<\/p>\n

The unbeaten former champion has repeatedly insisted that he is content in retirement after bringing an extraordinary career to a close<\/a>\u00a0last year after beating Saul \u2018Canelo\u2019 Alvarez, but speculation over one more fight has never entirely disappeared.<\/p>\n

Crawford has been called out by several names since stepping away, with fans continuing to debate which opponent could provide enough incentive for him to put the gloves back on.<\/p>\n

His latest social media post added fresh fuel to that speculation, as he asked Jaron Ennis directly if he would be interested in the fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanna see something! Yall wanna see me come back and fight so bad don\u2019t yall? @JaronEnnis would you fight me next if I come outta retirement?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Boots\u2019 wasted little time in accepting the challenge, which has gathered 22,000 likes at the time of writing.<\/p>\n

Crawford then quickly followed up with a second post which suggested he may have been testing the waters rather than confirming any serious comeback plans.<\/p>\n

The exchange comes days after Crawford and Ennis went back and forth during the broadcast of Andy Ruiz Jr\u2019s fight with Damian Knyba.<\/a><\/p>\n

Crawford told Ennis he would \u201cstep\u201d on him if they ever fought and argued that the 29-year-old still needs victories over names such as Vergil Ortiz Jr or Sebastian Fundora before receiving full credit.<\/p>\n

Their rivalry has been bubbling for years, dating back to Crawford\u2019s time at welterweight when Ennis was emerging as one of the division\u2019s leading contenders.<\/p>\n

For now, Crawford\u2019s second post suggests a comeback is far from confirmed. But by publicly asking Ennis whether he wants the fight, he has ensured that one of boxing\u2019s most intrugi hypothetical match-ups will remain firmly in the conversation.<\/p>\n
