TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp<\/a> says her leg looks like \u201cit has been bitten by a shark\u201d in a health update after she broke it during a walk <\/a>on a Devon beach.<\/p>\n

The Location, Location, Location host, 55, was airlifted to hospital following the fall at Welcombe Mouth beach near the family home at Meadowgate in Devonlast week.<\/p>\n

Allsopp posted several photos of her injured leg on Thursday and wrote: \u201cSo…1 week & 1 day after the surgery there is quite a lot of feeling in my toes and all the way up my leg, but I\u2019m learning & healing and this exercise in patience and humility may turn out to be good for me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to again say Thank You So Much to everyone who helped me get to today, and for all your kind and cheering messages.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allsopp has hired a Game Ready, a cold compression therapy system designed to support early-stage recovery following surgery or acute injury.<\/p>\n

She wrote: \u201cI am in bed, but the dog is thrilled, I have hired a gamereadyhireuk which is a genius invention. I highly recommend it.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cI got sent a book by @biscuiteersltd which is very inspiring & we are going to go ahead and film the Christmas show in October as planned.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will be sitting down with my leg stuck out, but we\u2019ll work around it.<\/p>\n

\u201cOccasionally the boys pop in to chat and bring friends, although next week they will both be at uni, and my leg looks like I\u2019ve been bitten by a shark, but there are grapes & Frasier and I may publish a book called A Leg with a View next year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her Location, Location, Location co-host Phil Spencer<\/a> commented on her post: \u201cYou\u2019re being very brave & stoical. Be still & heal properly. Xx.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allsopp said that during a birthday picnic, she \u201cslipped on a muddy patch on the steep path, and it took a whole host of people to get me to hospital\u201d.<\/p>\n

She said her son Oscar, 18, had run \u201cas fast as he could to get help, and the RNLI Bude Lifeboat paramedics and Cornwall Air Ambulance tracked me down\u201d.<\/p>\n

Allsopp shared photos, including her leg in a cast in hospital, an X-ray of the injury and images from the beach. She also asked for donations to be made to the organisations who assisted her.<\/p>\n

In 2023, Allsopp was forced to pull out of filming Location, Location, Location after falling down a staircase in a pub during filming for the Channel 4 programme.<\/p>\n

She called it \u201cwithout a doubt, the scariest thing and most painful thing I have ever done in my life and I feel immensely blessed to be lying here in bed and not having broken anything\u201d.<\/p>\n

In 2024, the TV presenter shared a post on Instagram explaining that she and property developer Ben Andersen had purchased Meadowgate \u201cas a ruin\u201d just before Oscar was born.<\/p>\n

A week earlier, she had revealed she had let her youngest son, who was 15 at the time, Interrail across Europe for three weeks with a friend, which had prompted \u201ca call from children’s services\u201d. Allsopp also has a son, Bay, 20, with her husband, and is stepmother to his two sons from a previous marriage.<\/p>\n
