SUPER RIZIN 5<\/a> earlier this morning (Thurs., Sept. 10, 2026) inside Kyocera Dome Osaka in Osaka, Japan.<\/p>\nWith the unanimous decision victory, Shaydullaev successfully defended his RIZIN Featherweight title and captured the vacant PFL 145-pound championship.<\/p>\n
It was not completely smooth sailing for the champion.<\/p>\n
Shaydullaev was forced to recover from an early scare after McKee caught him with a clean one-two combination and sent him crashing to the canvas. However, the champion wasted little time answering back, powering McKee into the air and planting him with a massive slam.<\/p>\n
Shaydullaev took control from there, smothering the former Bellator champion from top position while chipping away with short punches and elbows.<\/p>\n
The same pattern continued throughout the final two rounds. McKee found occasional success with his jab, knees and scrambles, but Shaydullaev constantly forced him backward before dragging him back to the mat. The champion\u2019s suffocating pace eventually began wearing on McKee, who was cut near his eye and struggled to generate any sustained offense.<\/p>\n
McKee briefly took Shaydullaev\u2019s back during the third round, but the position quickly disappeared. After noticing the challenger check the clock with roughly 90 seconds remaining, Shaydullaev secured another takedown and controlled McKee until the final bell.<\/p>\n
All three judges scored the fight 30-27 for the champion.<\/p>\n
Shaydullaev still has one fight remaining on his RIZIN contract and is expected to compete against rising contender Kyoma Akimoto at the promotion\u2019s iconic New Year\u2019s Eve event. Akimoto entered the ring and faced off with the champion following Thursday\u2019s victory.<\/p>\n
So, what happens after that?<\/p>\n
Perhaps Shaydullaev finally brings his terrifying talents to UFC\u2019s loaded Featherweight division?<\/p>\n
Shaydullaev is reportedly the first major fighter signed by the combined promotion.<\/p>\n
The victory improved Shaydullaev\u2019s professional record to 20-0. McKee became the first opponent to survive until the final bell against him, snapping the champion\u2019s perfect 100 percent finishing rate.<\/p>\n
Still, finishing 19 of 20 professional victories is not too shabby.<\/p>\n
Shaydullaev owns seven knockouts and 12 submissions and will now receive the opportunity to test himself against increasingly recognizable competition under the MVP banner.<\/p>\n
Two championships, a spotless record and a new promotional home.<\/p>\n
Not a bad morning for the most frightening Featherweight outside UFC.<\/p>\n
