Counterpoint<\/a> has shared a new report on the global smartwatch<\/a> market for Q2 2026, where Huawei is driving the growth. The company has achieved the first rank with a record sales share \u2013 thanks to its innovative sports- and health-focused wearables.<\/p>\n

Huawei<\/a> sees a 1% hike in the Q2 2026<\/a> global smartwatch sales year-on-year listing. Meanwhile, it has scored approximately 22% market share and sits at the top.<\/p>\n

The report reads<\/a> that Huawei is leading the global wearable shipments in the second quarter of this year. China has been considered the primary driver of the company\u2019s growth in the overseas market, helping it to account for 80% of wearable sales.<\/p>\n

Strong consumer preference for local brands in China helped companies like Huawei and Imoo to maintain stable growth in international channels. China also held its lead in the latest ranking, with a record 38% share.<\/p>\n

Counterpoint says:<\/p>\n

\u201cHuawei led the market in shipments in Q2 2026. [\u2026] China was the primary driver of Huawei\u2019s growth, accounting for approximately 80% of its global shipments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Apple ranked second with a 14% YoY shipment increase and 20.1% market share. The report adds that Apple has shown the fastest YoY growth among the top five brands and recorded growth across all regions with Watch Series 11 and Watch SE 3.<\/p>\n

While Imoo is seeing a decline in year-on-year sales, it grew from 7.7% to 7.8% in global smartwatch market share. Xiaomi has appeared in fourth place with a 38% drop in annual sales growth and a 6.1% market share, down from 9.5%.<\/p>\n

The fifth position goes to Garmin with an 11% sharp jump in YoY sales growth and a 5.6% market share. Overall, global smartwatch shipments have declined in the second quarter of 2026 by 4% YoY. This is because premium users are holding on to their watches longer, and the basic segment continues to shrink.<\/p>\n
