Jhen\u00e9 Aiko<\/a> has teamed up with Kendrick Lamar<\/a> on a collaborative new song \u2013 listen to \u2018So Good\u2019 below.<\/p>\n

The reflective track appears on R&B singer Aiko\u2019s fourth studio album, \u2018Westside Whimsy\u2019, which was released today (Friday September 11).<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t let a messy bitch get in my way\/ I\u2019m way too grown plus I\u2019m top rank,\u201d Aiko sings, with the artist swapping verses with Lamar. \u201cWho was popping it \u2019til they got spanked\/ West side, everything\/ Pipe, pipe, pipe it up\/ Ghetto intellectual, swerving through the jet fuel, breaking down the decimals,\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n

Lamar raps: \u201cBeauty and the brains aye, what we doin\u2019?\/ Money out here, baby what we, I say\/ Face all stupid\/ Body, stupid\/ Got me, stupid\/ Hottie, stupid.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lamar is credited as a co-writer on the cut. The rapper previously joined forces with Aiko on his 2010 mixtape \u2018Overly Dedicated\u2019. He then contributed a verse to \u2018Stay Ready (What A Life)\u2019 from Aiko\u2019s debut EP, 2013\u2019s \u2018Sail Out\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The 20-track \u2018Westside Whimsy\u2019 also boasts team-ups with Larry June, Ab-Soul, Tyga and Ohma.<\/p>\n

Lamar surprise-released his\u00a0sixth and latest studio album, \u2018GNX\u2019<\/a>, in late 2024. In a glowing, five-star review<\/a>,\u00a0NME wrote: \u201cAfter a year full of scathing diss tracks and unfiltered loathing, Lamar converts that energy into the purest emotion of all \u2013 love \u2013 while carrying the West Coast on his back.\u201d<\/p>\n

The star headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show last year<\/a>, with the performance later becoming <\/a>the most-watched Super Bowl gig ever<\/a>. Lamar won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Direction for his Halftime Show.<\/p>\n

Last summer, Lamar featured on Clipse<\/a>\u2019s \u2018Chains & Whips\u2019, and joined the duo on stage in Los Angeles<\/a>. The track won the award for Best Rap Performance at the Grammys 2026<\/a>, where Lamar picked up five trophies in total.<\/p>\n

The rapper collaborated with Baby Keem<\/a> on the song \u2018Good Flirts\u2019 earlier this year.<\/p>\n
