A woman who fell 30m down a cliff in the Blue Mountains has been freed after a major rescue operation.<\/p>\n
The woman, aged in her 30s, fell down a cliff near a walking track at Leura at about 11am on Saturday.<\/p>\n
She had been scaling the Ben Travado Wall, which is about 150m high, when she fell about 11am, NSW Ambulance earlier confirmed to NewsWire.<\/p>\n
The woman has finally been freed after a major rescue operation was launched on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe climber, a woman in her 30s, was in a difficult to reach location but special operations paramedics, a doctor and critical care paramedic along with police rescue were able to reach her by foot to provide treatment,\u201d a NSW Ambulance spokesperson said in a statement on social media.<\/p>\n
\u201cA critical care paramedic on board the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter was also winched in to treat the patient.\u201d<\/p>\n
The woman was winched out and taken to Westmead Hospital at about 5pm.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was treated for arm and shoulder injuries as well as multiple abrasions before being winched out by the doctor, critical care paramedic and the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter and flown to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
