An Australian classroom erupted in laughter this week when a Yorkshire teacher reverted to his thick native drawl, leaving his students endlessly entertained.

Nathan Hill’s primary school class – and millions online – were left in stitches after the British man decided to drop his pronunciation during a reading lesson.

In two TikTok videos posted by the teacher, the young children can be heard barely containing their excitement over Mr Hill’s distinct accent.

The afternoon briefly descended into chaos as the kids jumped at the chance to ask him to repeat certain words and phrases, sending the educator himself into a fit of giggles.

“You’re a Yorkshireman teaching in an Australian school, and the children in your class absolutely lose it after they hear more of the little mannerisms,” Mr Hill captioned the footage.

“They started to quiz me afterwards!”

Much to the students’ delight, Mr Hill appeased their curiosity by reading a passage of a book in his native cadence.

At their request, he also repeated back “Steve Irwin”, “Kentucky Fried Chicken”, and “eggs and bacon”, which triggered a wave of glee.

The kids continued to grill Mr Hill for 25 minutes, prompting the teacher to exclaim that he was also crying with laughter.
