A leaked about phone screen from a vivo X500 demo unit confirms a 7500mAh battery and lists the processor as “Dimensity 9600M,” a name believed to be a MediaTek rebrand of the existing Dimensity 9500 chip.<\/p>\n

The listing is one of the first on-device confirmations of the Dimensity 9600M name, following earlier speculation that MediaTek’s MT6993 chip, used elsewhere as the Dimensity 9500<\/a>, would be rebranded for select 2026 flagships.<\/p>\n

The unit shown lists 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It also features vivo’s V3+ custom ISP and a 7500mAh battery while running OriginOS 7. The status bar identifies it as a demo unit rather than final retail hardware. <\/p>\n

Camera specs have already been confirmed officially<\/a>: the standard X500 uses a 1\/1.28-inch Sony LYT-828 main sensor, the same unit found in the X300 Pro, paired with a 64MP Lytia-610 telephoto camera with CIPA 5.5-rated stabilization. A separate unboxing of a white unit<\/a> put the display at 6.59 inches and confirmed a 90W charger and matching silicone case in the box. <\/p>\n

The vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max are set to launch in China on September 21<\/a>, where reservations are already open. International availability, including in Europe and India, is expected to follow.<\/p>\n
