Their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.notebookcheck.net\/Samsung-Galaxy-Watch-users-report-poor-battery-life-after-recent-updates.1273725.0.html\" target=\"_self\" class=\"internal-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">final update<\/a> arrived in August 2026 and contained essential security fixes, meaning no further regular patches, bug fixes or software improvements are planned.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">The decision closes an important chapter for Samsung\u2019s smartwatch lineup, as the Watch 4 series was the company\u2019s first generation to transition from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.notebookcheck.net\/Google-debuts-Wear-OS-3-0-confirms-new-Samsung-partnership-and-Fitbits-that-will-run-on-the-new-software.540005.0.html\" target=\"_self\" class=\"internal-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Tizen to Google\u2019s Wear OS<\/a>, with Samsung and Google jointly developing Wear OS 3. This helped reshape Samsung\u2019s wearable platform, although the watches retained much of the look and feel of the previous Tizen-based interface.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">For existing owners, the watches will continue to function, but the end of updates may be a significant drawback for some, especially for those who rely on payment or cellular features, while compatibility and software improvements are also no longer guaranteed.
