<\/p>\nIt\u2019s not every day the Vancouver Canucks get a 10-minute feature on The National, but that\u2019s exactly what happened Sunday evening, thanks to Henrik and Daniel Sedin.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s further proof that the Sedin name carries a lot of weight not only in Vancouver, but across Canada as well.<\/p>\n
Speaking with CBC News\u2019 Ian Hanomansing, the Sedins spoke about a number of high-level topics as they embark on their first season as Canucks co-presidents.<\/p>\n
Having co-presidents might seem problematic if we didn\u2019t already know so much about the Sedin twins. Somehow, for them, it just makes sense.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u201cAnyone who works in these positions would love someone to bounce ideas off and discuss things, and be open about solutions and questions that come up,\u201d Henrik said. \u201cI think it\u2019s a dream place for both of us [to be] in this role. There\u2019s nothing negative about it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe discuss things,\u201d Daniel said, insisting they don\u2019t argue. \u201cSometimes we agree, sometimes we don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n
Henrik and Daniel, along with new general manager Ryan Johnson, have had a clear message since taking over. Importantly, they haven\u2019t been afraid to embrace a rebuild.<\/p>\n

The moves they\u2019ve made since appear to follow that logic, so it\u2019s no wonder that they\u2019ve largely been applauded by the fan base.\u00a0Whether they all work out in the team\u2019s favour has yet to be determined, but it appears that, unlike the past two management regimes, this group won\u2019t be desperately looking for shortcuts to success.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll you can do is make sure that the process is being done the right way,\u201d said Daniel. \u201cEvery decision is being made after collaborating and doing due diligence. If you have the right process and you do decisions the right way, I think that will set you up for success.
