{"id":892939,"date":"2026-09-15T13:56:20","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T13:56:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/892939\/"},"modified":"2026-09-15T13:56:20","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T13:56:20","slug":"firmus-to-appear-on-hurricanes-and-tigers-shirts-as-part-of-five-year-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/892939\/","title":{"rendered":"Firmus to appear on Hurricanes and Tigers shirts as part of five-year deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Firmus branding will feature on the front of Hobart Hurricanes and Tasmanian Tigers playing shirts after Cricket Tasmania confirmed a five-year deal with the Tasmanian-founded tech company.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership, first revealed by Pulse on Monday night at the Tigers season launch, will see Firmus become principal partner of the Tasmanian Tigers and major partner of the Hobart Hurricanes.<\/p>\n<p>The brand will appear on the front of shirts across all Tigers programs and on the chest of Hurricanes shirts in both the WBBL and BBL.<\/p>\n<p>More than $1 million will be invested directly into community cricket initiatives over the life of the deal, making it one of the biggest community cricket funding commitments in Cricket Tasmania\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-76899\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/6ila53c7e0hvtdq_v7h0t_2kjiz.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1536\" height=\"1024\"  \/>The Tasmanian-founded tech company has data centre projects in the north. Image \/ Supplied<\/p>\n<p>Cricket Tasmania CEO Dominic Baker said the partnership would have a wide-ranging impact across the sport in Tasmania.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an incredibly significant partnership for Cricket Tasmania, not only because of Firmus\u2019 commitment to our high-performance programs, but because of the unprecedented investment they are making in community cricket across our state,\u201d Baker said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-76896\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/f6wdv7amgzf6782_qkgjv_7hps7.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1536\" height=\"1024\"  \/>Cricket Tasmania CEO Dominic Baker said the deal was hugely significant for the code. Image \/ Supplied<\/p>\n<p>A centrepiece of the deal is the Firmus Beyond Boundaries Program, which will fund grassroots cricket in communities facing barriers to participation through equipment, local programs and engagement initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership will also expand Cricket Tasmania\u2019s Community Club Development Grants program.<\/p>\n<p>Firmus co-founder and co-CEO Oliver Curtis said the company wanted to give back to the communities that supported its growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough Beyond Boundaries and the community club grants, we\u2019ll support grassroots cricket with equipment, local programs and projects that make it easier for people to take part,\u201d Curtis said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-76898\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/6zkd5u2pey4cwfn_q9dgn_qgbf4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1536\" height=\"1024\"  \/>The partnership will begin ahead of the 2026-27 cricket season.
