<\/a>Casio\u2019s full MTP-E740 collection is finally hitting the market<\/p>\n

Casio\u2019s eye-catching MTP-E740 collection has finally arrived in its entirety, with all five colorful models now making their debut in India. The affordable watches combine a classic stainless steel design with translucent dials that put their day and date mechanisms front and center.<\/p>\n

Casio first announced its new colorful MTP-E740 series<\/a> with translucent dials in August, but the lineup has taken its sweet time reaching the market. Earlier this month, two models\u2014the orange MTP-E740-4AV and navy-blue MTP-E740-2A1V<\/a>\u2014went on sale in the UK, leaving the remaining three colorways waiting in the wings. That\u2019s finally changing as Casio has now officially brought the entire collection, including the teal, bright blue, and brown models, to the market. <\/p>\n

All five MTP-E740 watches are now available in India, including the teal MTP-E740-3AV<\/a>, bright blue MTP-E740-2A2V<\/a>, and brown MTP-E740-1AV<\/a> alongside the orange and navy blue models. They\u2019re priced at a very reasonable \u20b96,995 (~$73) apiece, though none is currently available to order directly from Casio. The \u201cClick to Buy\u201d button is missing from each product page at the time of writing. It looks like Casio is still working out the final details, with direct online sales likely to follow soon (we’ll update this article when that happens).<\/p>\n

The MTP-E740\u2019s biggest selling point is its translucent dial, which exposes the day and date wheels underneath. It\u2019s a playful design choice inspired by Seiko\u2019s 1970s Time Sonar watches and turns the otherwise ordinary calendar display into a visual delight.<\/p>\n

The specifications and dimensions are identical across all five models, with each timepiece featuring a 39.8mm stainless steel case and bracelet, applied baton markers, mineral glass, and a framed date window at 3 o\u2019clock. The day wheel displays English or Spanish, while Casio\u2019s 5339 quartz movement keeps time to within \u00b120 seconds per month.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also 50-meter water resistance and around three years of battery life from an SR920SW battery.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

The MTP-E740 is another compelling example of Casio proving that an affordable watch doesn\u2019t have to be boring. Now, we just need Casio to bring all five colors to the US and other markets. <\/p>\n
