FRISCO, Texas\u00a0\u2014\u00a0Farah O’Keefe<\/a> birdied two of her last three holes to clinch her sixth career victory as she earned co-medalist honors at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup on Tuesday. With the win, O’Keefe is now tied for second in Texas women’s golf history in career victories with Sherri Steinhauer, who played from 1981-85.\u00a0<\/p>\n

O’Keefe carded rounds of 71-71-70=212 (-4) and shared medalist honors with Macy Pate from Wake Forest. O’Keefe is the second Longhorn to win medalist honors at this event as Lauren Kim<\/a> won in 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n

O’Keefe helped guide the Longhorns into a fourth-place finish in stroke play, which will setup a match against No. 12 ranked Oregon tomorrow. Wake Forest earned the top seed after posting a score of 6-under in stroke play and will play second-place South Carolina (4-under) in the championship match. Oregon finished stroke play at 8-over and the Longhorns finished at 19-over after 54 holes of stroke play. Florida State was fifth at 21-over and Stanford sixth at 27-over.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lauren Kim<\/a> finished at 5-over for the tournament and T13. Selina Liao<\/a> (T19), Amy Lee<\/a> (T29) and Isla McDonald-O’Brien<\/a> (31) also competed for the Longhorns.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Texas will take on Oregon in match play tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. central time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Farah O’Keefe<\/a> turned in three rounds under par and claimed her sixth career victory. O’Keefe birdied holes 7 and 8, the 16th\u00a0and 17th\u00a0holes of the day in her round.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lauren Kim<\/a> finished T13 on the leaderboard at 5-over for the tournament. Kim made a pair of birdies in her final round of stroke play.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Selina Liao<\/a>, who opened the tournament with a 2-under first round finished T19 on the leaderboard at 8-over.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Amy Lee<\/a> competing in her first collegiate event finished T29 on the leaderboard at 14-over. Lee carded a round of 1-under 71 in her second round.\u00a0<\/p>\n
