{"id":894110,"date":"2026-09-16T13:10:10","date_gmt":"2026-09-16T13:10:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/894110\/"},"modified":"2026-09-16T13:10:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-16T13:10:10","slug":"ottawa-senators-announce-57-player-2026-27-training-camp-roster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/894110\/","title":{"rendered":"Ottawa Senators announce 57-player 2026-27 training camp roster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OTTAWA\u00a0\u2013 The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ottawasenators.com\/\" title=\"http:\/\/www.ottawasenators.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ottawa Senators<\/a>\u00a0announced today\u00a0the 57-player roster for the club\u2019s 2026-27 training camp which will be held at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadiantirecentre.com\/en\/\" title=\"http:\/\/www.canadiantirecentre.com\/en\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Canadian Tire Centre<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sensplex.ca\/\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sensplex.ca\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bell Sensplex<\/a>\u00a0starting on Wednesday, September 16. The training camp lineup is made up of seven (7) goaltenders, eighteen (18) defencemen and thirty-two (32) forwards.<\/p>\n<p>Players, who report for medicals on Wednesday morning, will commence formal on-ice practices on Thursday. The first media availability with the players will take place following Thursday`s practice sessions. The popular Fan Fest will take place at Canadian Tire Centre on Saturday, September 19.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026-27 Senators training camp roster features thirteen (13) former first-round draft picks and twenty-seven (27) players who were Ottawa selections in NHL drafts. Fourteen (14) players were signed as free agents, twelve (12) players were obtained in trades,\u00a0 two (2) players are at camp on professional tryouts (PTO) and two (2) players are on amateur tryouts (ATO).<\/p>\n<p>Twenty-five (25) of the camp\u2019s players appeared in at least one game with the Senators during the 2025-26 season while another six (6) players dressed for other NHL clubs.
