It was a big day for big wheels. Just days ahead of Trek <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingmagazine.ca\/mtb\/trek-is-teasing-something-big-at-this-weekends-soldier-hollow-world-cup\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">lifting the curtains on its big wheel reveal<\/a>, Seewald became the first rider to win a world championships title on 32\u2033 wheels.<\/p>\n<p>Seewald raced in Trentino, Italy on a prototype KTM Scarp Evo 4. The German was running a RAD program fork from Fox. There\u2019s been a <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingmagazine.ca\/mtb\/32-gets-its-first-stage-win-already-at-cape-epic\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">32\u2033 Cape Epic stage win<\/a>, a World Cup <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingmagazine.ca\/mtb\/alessandra-keller-puts-32-wheels-on-the-podium-in-their-world-cup-debut\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">XCC podium under Alessandra Keller<\/a> (though that bike largely disappeared after that weekend) and a <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingmagazine.ca\/mtb\/martin-maes-gets-wild-with-the-mega-mullet-for-worlds\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">32\/27.5\u2033 mullet ridden at downhill world championships<\/a>. But winning the rainbow jersey? That\u2019s a major milestone.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingmagazine.ca\/mtb\/ktm-wades-into-future-of-32-bikes\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">KTM wades into future of 32\u2033 bikes<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Another milestone could come this weekend. Trek revealed its prototype XC 32\u2033 race bike today. It will be raced this weekend by Trek Unbroken athletes at the Soldier Hollow World Cup in Utah. With riders like Evie Richards on the new, so far team-only bike, the big wheels could mark another big milestone by the end of Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve spent <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingmagazine.ca\/mtb\/32-real-world-test-rides-actual-rides-on-a-secret-pre-production-prototype-xc-bike\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">some time on the big wheels ourselves and have thoughts<\/a>. Many, many thoughts. It definitely has some significant and obvious advantages.
