McLaren fans will be concerned after learning of Lando Norris\u2019 injury following the Spanish Grand Prix. Norris appeared fine in Madrid, delivering an excellent performance to finish third.<\/p>\n

The British driver probably would have won at the Madring circuit if not for the unfortunate timing of the virtual safety car while he led the race. Unfortunately, Kimi Antonelli\u2019s victory means the championship is likely out of reach.<\/p>\n

Norris<\/a> has now received even more bad news just days after his podium finish at the Spanish GP. He was due to play at the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am alongside many celebrities and Europe\u2019s Ryder Cup<\/a> stars.<\/p>\n

Lando Norris withdrew from the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am on Wednesday due to a back injury. He certainly would have played with a European Ryder Cup star, potentially fellow McLaren athlete Justin Rose.<\/p>\n

Norris explained his disappointing injury news to both DP World Tour<\/a> winner Eugenio Chacarra and five-time major winner Brooks Koepka<\/a>. Given how much Norris loves playing golf, he must be gutted to miss the event at Wentworth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not playing. I\u2019ve got a bad back. I\u2019m getting old.\u201d, Norris told Koepka before the round, as he still attended and interacted with the golfers, celebrities and fans. Meanwhile, Lando also confirmed his injury after Chacarra said, \u201cI was talking to the crowds yesterday, and they were saying, \u2018Lando\u2019s going to be there.\u2019 You\u2019re not playing? Your back is bad?\u201d <\/p>\n

The good news for Norris and McLaren is that the next F1 race in Azerbaijan is over a week away. He told Chacarra that he will be busy, but not too busy to watch some of the BMW PGA Championship: \u201cI have work the rest of the week, but I\u2019ll be watching.\u201d<\/p>\n
