{"id":895090,"date":"2026-09-17T08:18:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T08:18:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/895090\/"},"modified":"2026-09-17T08:18:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T08:18:13","slug":"jay-byrne-teases-top-level-additions-to-jb-promotions-conlan-boxing-stable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/895090\/","title":{"rendered":"Jay Byrne Teases \u2018Top-Level\u2019 Additions to JB Promotions\/Conlan Boxing Stable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irish-boxing.com\/?s=Michael+Conlan\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Michael Conlan<\/a> won\u2019t be the only big name JB Promotions will be teaming up with up north, hints <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irish-boxing.com\/?s=jay+byrne\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jay Byrne<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The promoter says his new venture, a merging of JB Promotions and Conlan Boxing in Belfast and its surrounds, will be bolstered by some top talent.  <\/p>\n<p>The former boxers are already working on an exciting new stable of fighters, some of whom they hope to showcase on a November debut show. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are in talks with some top-level boxers at the minute and it looks like we\u2019re going to have a nice stable starting to build up north,\u201d Byrne explained when speaking to Irish-boxing.com.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe already have some fighters. I have some fighters, Mick has some fighters up north already, so we have a base to start with like we did when we started our first show down south.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former BUI and BBBofC Celtic champion and the Olympic medal winner are now putting the final pieces in place ahead of formally launching the new operation, with Byrne confirming that the first show is pencilled in for the end of November.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be at the end of November. We\u2019ll confirm the date when this show [September 26] is out of the way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just have a couple of little things, paperwork to finalise and myself and Mick will kick off up the north,\u201d he adds before pointing out the Belfast venture will be run independent to operations down south.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a totally separate entity.
