HOUSTON \u2014 After two years of preparation, the Rice Women’s Golf team will play its inaugural event, Sept. 18-20, at the Lady Paladin Invitational in Greenville, S.C. The tournament will be hosted by Furman and played at Furman Golf Club.

Jessica Jang<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 No. 1 position \u2026 first career tournament \u2026 two top five finishes on AJGC, including a third-place at the Sacramento Junior Championship\u2026tied for ninth at the K.J. Choi Foundation Texas Junior Championship, carding rounds of 69-70-72\u2026three-time Toyota Tour Cup Champion on the Southern California PGA Tour\u2026runner-up at the Southern California Junior Amateur, finishing -8, including a second round 66\u2026participated in the 2024 U.S. Girls Junior Amateur.<\/p>\n

Elisabeth Borsheim<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 No. 2 position \u2026 first career tournament \u2026 joined Rice as a freshman prior to 2025-26 \u2026 named the IMG Player of the Year in 2023 \u2026 last year, had a 74.2 stroke average \u2026 had five top 10 finishes on the Florida State Golf Association, including a tie for fifth at the Vero Beach Open in September \u2026 in July, she earned a runner-up finish at the Srixon Tour’s Under-19 tournament in Losby, Norway.<\/p>\n

Amelie Phung<\/a> \u2013 No. 3 position \u2026 first career tournament \u2026 joined Rice as a freshman prior to 2025-26 \u2026 helped Florida Atlantic University High School to the 2023 Florida State championship and a third-place finish at the National High School Championship \u2026 in 2022, was named the Palm Beach County Player of the Year after winning the Honda Invitational, where she fired a 66 \u2026 earned a runner-up finish at the state championship \u2026 last year, earned five top three finishes, including medalist honors at the Florida Junior Tour’s MLK Major and the Labor Day Major \u2026 as a junior, had a 72.8 stroke average.

\nAri Boone<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 No. 4 position \u2026 first career tournament \u2026 three top two finishes on the AJGA including a victory at the Mizuno Junior Championship at Sea Island and the Discover Puerto Rico Championship, where she fired rounds of 70-68-68\u2026tied \u00a0for sixth-place at the Mizuno West Coast Championship, carding rounds of 69-71-74\u2026earned four top three finishes on the Florida State Golf Association Tour\u2026won the FJT Stone Creek Open, where she opened with a 65\u2026won the 66th\u00a0FJT Girl’s Junior Championship, closing with rounds of 67-69\u2026in back-to-back years, she finished in the top 2 at the FJT Junior Amateur Match Play, earning the championship in 2023 and finishing runner-up the following year.

\nJustine Bayle<\/a> \u2013 No. 5 position \u2026 transfer from Tampa \u2026 Second Team All-American \u2026 two-time All-Sunshine State Conference \u2026 ranked as high as 12th nationally last year \u2026 averaged 74.55 strokes in two seasons \u2026 10 rounds of par or better \u2026 four Top Five, eight Top 10, and 10 Top 20 finishes \u2026 had two victories, at the 2025 Patsy Rendleman Invitational and the 2026 World Golf Invitational \u2026 last year, recorded a 74.50 scoring average, finishing +3 relative to par \u2026 capped her campaign at the NCAA DII Women’s National Championship (5\/12\u201314), carding a 75-74-72 for a 221 (+5) total to claim a tie for 5th place.<\/p>\n

PAIRINGS<\/p>\n

Play begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. CT. The Owls will tee off from hole No. 1 and will compete in groups with student-athletes from Alabama, Furman, and Minnesota. Tuesday and Wednesday’s tee times and pairings will depend on results following the previous round.
