Ms. Rachel<\/a> and her husband, Aron Accurso, announced they will follow Macklemore<\/a>\u2019s lead and make a $1 million donation<\/a> towards Palestinian relief. \u201cI will match Macklemore\u2019s donation and I invite every wealthy white celebrity to match it and speak out against the genocide in Gaza,\u201d she wrote<\/a> in an Instagram post on September 17. \u201cOver 20,000 precious Palestinian children have been killed and children continue to be killed every day. We have a moral obligation to use our privilege and platforms to protect children and human rights.\u201d She will make the donation to the Palestine Children\u2019s Relief Fund, a nonprofit providing medical relief for children.<\/p>\n On September 16, Macklemore said<\/a>\u00a0he would split his $1 million pay from Ed Sheeran\u2019s Loop tour<\/a> among six organizations that work directly with Palestinians. Last week, the \u201cThrift Shop\u201d singer was fired from the tour for speaking out against the war in Gaza and sharing his support for a Free Palestine. Macklemore invited Robert Kraft, the owner of Gillette Stadium and the New England Patriots and the person who pressured Messina Tour Group to fire him, to match his donation. Later that day, Kraft said<\/a> Sheeran had already asked him to match his $2 million donation, but it is unclear from his statement where the money was donated.
