{"id":896270,"date":"2026-09-18T07:18:18","date_gmt":"2026-09-18T07:18:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/896270\/"},"modified":"2026-09-18T07:18:18","modified_gmt":"2026-09-18T07:18:18","slug":"supercars-five-race-weekends-in-a-row-for-jaxon-evans-bathurst-1000-run","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/896270\/","title":{"rendered":"Supercars: Five race weekends in a row for Jaxon Evans&#8217; Bathurst 1000 run"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FRESH off securing his maiden Repco Supercars Championship podium, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-2544-Jaxon-Evans\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jaxon Evans<\/a> will seek to keep the momentum rolling all the way into Bathurst.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Kiwi combined with Walkinshaw TWG Racing\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-2748-Ryan-Wood\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ryan Wood<\/a> to place third in the AirTouch 500 at The Bend last Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That made Evans the 164th podium-getter in ATCC\/Supercars Championship history, and put to bed demons from a relatively fruitless two-year spell full-time at Brad Jones Racing\/SCT.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now it\u2019s straight onto the next task, with this weekend\u2019s GT World Challenge Australia round at Sydney Motorsport Park the second of five successive race meetings he\u2019s embarking on.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then will come the Shanghai 8 Hours, then a GT World Challenge Asia event in Beijing, and then the Repco Bathurst 1000 across October 8-11.<\/p>\n<p>Clear As Mud! | The Undercut<\/p>\n<p>THE Undercut returns, breaking down the latest news in the world of Supercars racing!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s the kind of schedule that has Evans satisfied with his new modus operandi in life after full-time Supercars.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNo, at the moment I\u2019m really happy,\u201d said the 30-year-old, when asked if he\u2019s eyeing a full-time return to Supercars.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis year I took a bit of a step back in terms of when I was planning my seasons and what I could be racing in other avenues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cComing from GT cars, it\u2019s something that I love to do.
