A 15-year-old allegedly raped a teenage girl four times over eight months, and intentionally choked a boy without consent in separate incidents occurring across the Sutherland Shire as late as July.<\/p>\n
Officers from the State Crime Command\u2019s Child Abuse Squad arrested the teenager at a home in Sydney\u2019s southern suburbs on Friday. The youth was then taken to the Sutherland Shire police station.<\/p>\n
The 15-year-old was charged over the incidents, allegedly occurring across Sydney\u2019s southern suburbs from December to July.<\/p>\n
They face four counts of aggravated sexual assault, which under NSW law is an offence equivalent to rape, and intentionally choking a person without consent.<\/p>\n
They appeared at a children\u2019s court on Friday, where they were granted conditional bail to appear before the same court in November.<\/p>\n
The arrests come months after three Scots College students, aged 13 and 14, were charged with the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in a Bondi Junction alleyway in July. The boys remain on strict conditional bail, including a night curfew and a ban on entering Bondi Junction, while court proceedings continue.<\/p>\n
Two students from St Gregory\u2019s College in Sydney\u2019s south-west suburbs were last month charged with the rape of a 17-year-old girl at a home in the Macarthur region. Police allege the boys, along with another 17-year-old who didn\u2019t attend the school, had inflicted a multi-hour assault on the girl.<\/p>\n
It came days before a 16-year-old from Sydney\u2019s northern beaches was killed after a suspected choking act during sex, renewing warnings about the dangers of sexual strangulation and violent online pornography.<\/p>\n
