From AI and automotive technology to jewellery, emergency safety and diversified enterprise, their journeys reveal how market gaps, personal convictions and deep expertise can become the foundation for businesses designed to create lasting value.

Shubh Jain, Founder and CEO of UnfAIr Advantage, has spent much of his career studying one question: what actually makes a business grow? His journey began in marketing, where working closely with businesses gave him an early understanding of customers, positioning and sales. As AI began reshaping the way businesses operate, Jain saw an opportunity to combine the two.

What followed was not simply an AI education business, but a model built around helping people develop the ability to execute. Jain believes founders often try to solve every problem by hiring more people, when the bigger opportunity may be learning how to use technology to increase their own capacity first.

That thinking has shaped UnfAIr Advantage and Jain’s work with founders. He currently works with more than 100 private clients and has individually helped scale seven brands across EdTech and consumer categories to over ₹100 crore in revenue each. He says his work with clients and founders has contributed to more than ₹1,100 crore in revenue over the past 18 months.

His reach extends beyond private consulting. UnfAIr Advantage has crossed 150,000 registered students in less than four months, with speakers including Ishan Sharma, Sneh Desai, Nawaz Shaikh and Ranveer Allahbadia.

For Jain, the goal is not to teach people another tool. It is to make them capable of doing more themselves. He calls this becoming an “AI Allrounder,” someone who can use AI across research, marketing, sales and execution.

His larger ambition is to build one of India’s biggest AI talent companies, helping more people turn AI from something they hear about into a skill they can actually use to build and earn.

Rajarshi Bhattacharya: Building Icon International Around Expertise, Relationships and Long-Term Value

Real estate, engineering consultancy and art may appear to have little in common. For Rajarshi Bhattacharya, Founder & Director of Icon International, they share one important characteristic: in each, expertise and trust can matter as much as the transaction itself.

Advertise Your Brand →

Reach your target audience via high-impact campaigns, sponsored content and high-impact solutions.

Founded in 2013, Icon International has grown as a diversified enterprise with interests across these sectors. Bhattacharya has deliberately taken a long-term approach, focusing on understanding each market, developing professional expertise and building relationships that extend beyond individual deals.

His involvement in India’s modern and contemporary art market is particularly personal. His father, an eminent educationist, was a friend of artist Tyeb Mehta and an avid collector. Rajarshi later inherited his collection, giving his engagement with Indian art a deeply personal foundation. He believes understanding an artwork requires looking beyond what is immediately visible. Provenance, authenticity, documentation, ownership history and artistic significance can all influence its value. Diversifying his interests even further, Rajarshi is also an intelligence adviser and life member of NRAI, being passionate about shooting.

This perspective has shaped Icon International’s approach to the art sector, where relationships with collectors and other industry stakeholders are built around knowledge, discretion and credibility rather than simply facilitating transactions.

For Rajarshi, diversification is not about entering as many industries as possible. It is about bringing the same principles, professional expertise, integrity and long-term relationships, to businesses where they can create lasting value.

More than a decade after establishing Icon International, his approach remains deliberately measured.

The ambition is not simply to build a larger business, but to build one whose reputation becomes its strongest asset.

Capt. Saurabh Saraswat: Bringing a Life-First Approach to India’s Emergency Safety Through VerifyU

For Capt. Saurabh Saraswat, the idea behind VerifyU began with a question from his wife: could something be done to help dementia patients who go missing and struggle to find their way home? What followed made that question deeply personal.

As a former mariner, Saraswat had spent years working within a culture where life comes before the environment and property. On land, he felt that priority was often reversed. That conviction became more urgent after his family lost his brother-in-law in a road accident. Critical medical information, including his blood group and medical history, was not immediately available to those treating him. The family also struggled to know where he had been taken. Valuable time was lost.

That experience became the purpose behind VerifyU, developed to make essential medical and emergency information accessible when people may be unable to communicate for themselves. The platform is designed to help first responders and hospitals access details such as blood group, medical history, allergies and emergency contacts, while helping families stay informed.

According to Saraswat, what can take doctors and police up to 1.5–2 hours to establish can be reduced to around a minute through the platform. His challenge now is not simply technological adoption, but changing India’s safety mindset through awareness and community engagement.

His larger ambition is to see VerifyU adopted across hospitals, schools, hotels, pilgrimage centres and road-safety initiatives in at least 10 states. For Saraswat, the goal is ultimately measured in lives protected, not downloads.

Rishabh Ravindran: The Consumer Insight Behind Aagrah Fine Jewels’ Growth

The way people buy jewellery is changing. For a growing generation of consumers, jewellery is no longer reserved for major occasions or significant investments. It can be an everyday expression of style, a thoughtful gesture, or a gift chosen to mark a personal moment.

It is this shift in consumer behaviour that has shaped the work of Rishabh Ravindran, Chief Marketing Officer at Aagrah Fine Jewels. His approach begins with understanding not only what customers want to buy, but what makes them feel confident about buying it.

Aagrah was built around an underserved space between inexpensive fashion jewellery and traditional fine jewellery: pieces that look refined and feel special, while remaining accessible. The brand has since grown to serve more than 10,000 customers across India.

For Rishabh, however, the opportunity goes beyond the product. He has paid particular attention to jewellery gifting, where the buyer is often navigating questions of style, fit, occasion and presentation. That insight has influenced everything from product design and packaging to advertising and the online buying experience.

His approach to marketing is similarly holistic. Rather than measuring success only through clicks or advertising returns, he looks at the entire journey, from discovery and purchase to fulfilment, delivery and repeat buying.

The next chapter for Aagrah, he believes, is about moving beyond performance-led growth to building a jewellery brand people remember when they have something worth celebrating.

Dr. Amarjit Singh and Simerneet Singh: From ₹50,000 to ₹50 Crore, The Father-Son Duo Reengineering Automotive Tech with GOT INC

Some businesses begin with a market opportunity. GOT INC. began with a father and son who shared a fascination with engineering, automobiles and the instinct to build.

Dr. Amarjit Singh, a serial entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience in mobile technologies and manufacturing, has spent his career turning unconventional ideas into practical products. His son, Simerneet Singh, took a research-driven path, working with DRDO and focusing his independent research on assistive technologies, wearables and haptics while developing multiple patented innovations. Their complementary strengths eventually came together through the Gang of Thars, the offroading community they helped build into one of India’s largest.

It was within that community that they encountered a familiar problem: drivers wanted better engine responsiveness without compromising fuel efficiency or hampering the originality of their car. That insight led to GOT Boost, an AI-driven device that dynamically optimises throttle response, giving drivers a more responsive driving experience through a simple, DIY plug-and-play installation.

What began in December 2023 with an initial investment of approximately ₹50,000 has grown into a business with an estimated ₹50 crore valuation and a growing international presence, with their most recent office set up in Toronto. GOT Boost has also received the Best Innovation recognition from the Hindustan Times Group and was independently tested and reviewed by AutoCar India.

The founders are now expanding beyond performance technology, with an intelligent car perfume already added to the portfolio and further R&D underway across mobility and human interaction. Their ambition is clear: make advanced technology practical enough to become part of everyday life.

The pages slugged ‘Brand Connect’ are equivalent to advertisements and are not written and produced by Forbes India journalists.

Across industries and backgrounds, five entrepreneurs are building businesses from ideas that challenge convention.
