Dirk Nowitzki is keeping a close eye on Cooper Flagg as the 19-year-old prepares for his second NBA season.<\/p>\n

The former Dallas star revealed that he occasionally contacts Flagg after watching him play and has made it clear that his door is always open.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe met a few times, and we\u2019re obviously in contact. I write him a few things when I see something. So, he knows that I\u2019m in his corner whenever I want him to succeed and do well. But like I said, he\u2019s so far ahead of the curve already at that age. But if there\u2019s ever anything that he needs, I\u2019m more than happy to help,\u201d Nowitzki said.<\/a><\/p>\n

Flagg established himself as the face of the Mavericks<\/a> during his rookie campaign, averaging 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists before being named Rookie of the Year.<\/p>\n
