Ex-Docker and now Thunder CEO Daniel Bandy said it was one club united, as more success sits on the horizon.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve called it the perfect storm,\u201d he told Fox Sports.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s happened this year with Freo \u2013 they\u2019ve got a fantastic, super healthy list. We\u2019ve had to play five guys in the Reserves this year because they\u2019ve been that fit and healthy.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just been the perfect storm \u2013 the synergy between Freo and their trajectory and Peel\u2019s trajectory.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think you\u2019ll see this too often.<\/p>\n

And while there\u2019s jubilation inside the club, there\u2019s always tales of heartbreak \u2013 and this year it belongs to Docker Jeremy Sharp.<\/p>\n
Sharp was named Simpson Medallist as best on ground in Peel\u2019s 62-point grand final win.<\/p>\n
But with his elation comes heartbreak knowing he won\u2019t be part of that Dockers premiership push.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s special, they don\u2019t come around often flags,\u201d he said after the Thunder victory.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo be a part of this group, the alignment has never been stronger and I\u2019m just so proud. <\/p>\n
\u201c(Fremantle listed players) buy into the culture of Peel \u2013 we only get to see the blokes once a week but the way we do come together and connect, it\u2019s a credit to the alignment. It\u2019s a pleasure to be a part of it.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is going to bring us together for life now. We\u2019ve got a connection that can\u2019t be broken.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been a tough year for me. I\u2019ll do my reflecting in the next week and a bit.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe medal means more today. I\u2019m really proud of myself. It hasn\u2019t been an easy year for me with selection and form.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll push them this week. They\u2019ll be feeling the pressure, be really nervous, but we\u2019ll fly over with them, train with them and be right by their side.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think our team deserves it, our city deserves it, our town deserves it and our club deserves it.\u201d<\/p>\n
That one-club harmony was a message star Heath Chapman used when speaking to Fox Footy earlier on Sunday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis club, I am happy to come in every day,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe do the work\u2026 These are your best mates .<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd it is tight for selection but that\u2019s what makes this so special.\u201d<\/p>\n
For Bandy, he described it as an \u201corganic love\u201d between the two teams within the one club.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think people realise how difficult it is \u2013 the alignment, the boys don\u2019t train with us all of the time. Some of the assistant coaches aren\u2019t here. It\u2019s a lot of hard work and communication that goes on behind the scenes,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can see it tonight, the vibe and feel in here, it\u2019s an organic love. I don\u2019t know how else to say it.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve worked really hard to know that we\u2019re an important football club.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe do it better than anyone in the whole of the country (balancing the alignment).<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re really focused on the communication piece between the two clubs and it\u2019s worked well.<\/p>\n
