American supermodel Cindy Crawford’s son, Presley Gerber, has died aged 27.<\/p>\n
Gerber’s death was listed on the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner portal as having occurred at a rehab facility on Sunday, local time.<\/p>\n

Several US media outlets also reported that a representative of the family had confirmed the death and had asked for the family’s privacy to be respected.<\/p>\n
The 27-year-old was the only son of Crawford and her businessman husband, Rande Gerber, and the older brother of model-actor Kaia Gerber.<\/p>\n
Gerber’s Instagram profile, where he had previously documented his battle with mental health and sedative use, was flowing with tributes on Monday.<\/p>\n
He first opened up about his use of depressant medications in a social media video last December, saying it fluctuated “depending on what’s going on in my life”.<\/p>\n
“Unfortunately I’ve had a lot of loss, in many different forms recently,” he said in the video.<\/p>\n
“So that is not an excuse, but it’s a reason or a part of where I am where I’m at now.”<\/p>\n
Prolonged addiction battle<\/p>\n
Gerber began his modelling career aged 15 in 2015, before going on to be signed on for major fashion weeks globally.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In 2019, he was arrested in California for driving under the influence and later sentenced to three years’ probation.<\/p>\n
