Cameron Clark\u2019s upward trajectory continued with a first top-10 finish on the Legends Tour where Sweden\u2019s Johan Edfors stormed to victory with a final-round 64 in the European Legends Cup at Fontanals.<\/p>\n
Ballymena-born Clark posted rounds of 69 and 70 to enter the final round inside the top 10, and four birdies over his first seven holes on day three was an ideal start.<\/p>\n
He couldn\u2019t keep the momentum going, however, and though he traded two birdies with two bogeys over the following eight holes, he dropped two further shots over the closing three but still secured a T10 finish. It\u2019s his best result of his rookie campaign, and lifted him up to 42nd in the rankings and to within touching distance of securing his playing rights for 2027.<\/p>\n
Gary Murphy closed out with a two-over 74 to end the week tied for 42nd at +1.<\/p>\n
Edfors produced a stunning final-round 64 to come from four shots back and win, securing his second Staysure Legends Tour title of the season.<\/p>\n
The Swede began Sunday on seven-under-par but surged through a congested leaderboard with eight birdies to finish on -15, three shots clear after a dramatic final day in La Cerdanya.<\/p>\n
Steve Webster and Robert Coles were among Edfors\u2019 closest challengers, while Stephen Gallacher finished tied fifth on -10 to move to the top of the Road to Cambodia Order of Merit.<\/p>\n
Victory adds to Edfors\u2019 triumph at the OFX Irish Legends earlier this season, where he claimed his maiden Staysure Legends Tour title, and caps another impressive week for the three-time DP World Tour winner.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m feeling great, obviously,\u201d said Edfors. \u201cI did really well today and made plenty of good putts on the back nine. I didn\u2019t really know how I was standing.<\/p>\n
\u201cI saw the leaderboard when I was on 16 and realised if I made three pars coming in, I should have a pretty good chance of winning. I managed to do that, so that was nice.\u201d<\/p>\n
