As cycling fans, sure, we love seeing the race, but sometimes it\u2019s also just as awesome to see some of the gear the pros use. Especially if it\u2019s something new\u2026and fast. Yeah, yeah, it\u2019s not about the bike. Marlen Reusser could smoke all of us on a CCM bike (see what I did there?) but for the worlds, she had something just a bit quicker.<\/p>\n

Reusser\u2019s second TT win<\/p>\n

The defending champ won the women\u2019s individual time trial at the 2026 UCI road world championships in Montreal on what appears to be Canyon\u2019s unreleased Speedmax CFR TT.<\/p>\n

It was clear the chrono ace was on form\u2013she won the Chrono de Gatineau days earlier, absolutely clobbering everyone.<\/p>\n

The Swiss rider covered the 39.2-km course in 50:24 to take the rainbow jersey, beating Great Britain\u2019s Zoe B\u00e4ckstedt by 40 seconds. B\u00e4ckstedt led at the first two time checks before Reusser pulled away on the final section of the course. Btw, B\u00e4ckstedt, who has pretty decent lineage given her dad won Paris-Roubaix, is technically under-23. But since she\u2019s won, well, everything, in that category, she\u2019s decided to level up and race with the elites. And boy oh boy, she\u2019s shown she\u2019s totally in the major leagues.<\/p>\n

The ride<\/p>\n

The bike appears to be a new time trial version of Canyon\u2019s Speedmax, sharing design cues with the company\u2019s latest triathlon bike. Canyon has not yet released the TT bike publicly, and technical details remain limited.
Reusser\u2019s victory was the bike\u2019s first apparent race outing, while B\u00e4ckstedt also rode the same machine to silver.<\/p>\n

The result gives Canyon a 1-2 finish in the first elite women\u2019s time trial at the Montreal worlds, with its unreleased TT bike immediately making an appearance on the sport\u2019s biggest stage.<\/p>\n
